The Philippines No. 1 Teen Magazine gone bad!
And I really hate it!
I was a Candy Girl since September 2001 (first Candy cover boy Cogie Domingo)
He was the most in-demand actor that time that's why he landed as the first-ever Candy cover boy!
From then on it became a yearly dose that the September cover was a Candy cutie.
I am a Candy girl for almost 10 years.
I was addicted to it!
I never missed an issue from September 2001 until June 2011.
I stop, why?
Because, Candy was became an International Magazine. In what way?
All the way it is. It's style. It's cover. Everything.
Not all Candy readers are rich and fashionistas. So why feature an over-fashion style.
Who was the last Filipino/Local Celebrity on the main Cover of Candy, Shaina Magdayao, back in May 2009. Almost 3 years ago.
Only in Jan-Feb issue, Prom special, you can see a Filipino on the cover.
Changes are better if its for good improvement.
Does Candy forgot that they are the PHILIPPINES, note that, PHILIPPINES NO. 1 TEEN MAGAZINE.
So why keep featuring an INTERNATIONAL COVER and CONTENT.
I just missed the old Candy. The much better version of Candy.
The day that Candy was really the PHILIPPINES No. 1 Teen Magazine.
I just missed when it was Mia Fausto the Editor-in-Chief of Candy.
Below was my (not-send) anniversary card for Candy which was created by me back in 2005.
The days when i was really addicted to Candy.
